Museum you may explore our beautiful yet fragile environment; learn about the region’s history, culture and art; and discover what makes the 68-acre Historic Honey Horn property so special. Most importantly, leave with the knowledge that you can make a difference by actively caring for our environment and heritage.

Start your museum visit at the Discovery House to pick up a map of the property and information on our exhibits, walks, talks, tours, and more. Everyone is welcome. There is no admission charge, but voluntary donations are accepted. Our trail system which begins behind the museum, takes you through multiple environments and past many historic structures. As you walk across this historic landscape, enjoy the magnificent live oaks and ancient cedars, take in the view from the boardwalk, see the Marsh Tacky horses grazing in the wide-open fields, and envision what the island was like before it was developed.

In addition to programs, tours, and experiences on the Honey Horn site, be sure to check all the off-site activities that will introduce you to different ecosystems, historic sites, and cultural experiences.
